Full Overhaul Warranty Policy

OS Transmissions provides Full Overhaul services for customers who bring their vehicle directly to our facility for diagnosis, transmission removal, rebuilding, installation, and testing.

Unlike Bench Work services, OS Transmissions controls the complete transmission service process during a Full Overhaul. As a result, warranty coverage differs from Bench Work services.

This policy applies exclusively to Full Overhaul services performed by OS Transmissions.

What Is Included in a Full Overhaul

A Full Overhaul service may include:

  • Initial vehicle evaluation
  • Diagnostic testing
  • Transmission removal
  • Transmission teardown and inspection
  • Rebuild or remanufacturing procedures
  • Replacement of worn internal components
  • Reinstallation of the transmission
  • Fluid fill and verification
  • Road testing when applicable

Additional services may be recommended based on inspection findings.

Warranty Coverage

OS Transmissions warrants the rebuilt transmission against defects in workmanship and internal component failure directly related to the rebuilding process.

Warranty coverage applies only to the rebuilt transmission assembly and is subject to the conditions outlined in this policy.

Warranty coverage is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

Diagnostic & Evaluation Procedures

Prior to transmission removal, OS Transmissions may perform:

  • Scan tool diagnostics
  • Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) evaluation
  • Road testing
  • Electrical system inspection
  • Fluid condition evaluation
  • Transmission performance evaluation

Vehicle symptoms may originate from systems outside the transmission assembly.

Diagnostic charges may apply regardless of final repair authorization.

Supplemental Repairs & Customer Authorization

During teardown or inspection, additional damaged components may be discovered that were not visible during the initial estimate.

Examples may include:

  • Hard-part damage
  • Torque converter failure
  • Valve body issues
  • Pump damage
  • Case damage
  • Electrical component failure

When additional repairs are required, customer authorization may be requested before work proceeds.

Additional charges may apply for parts, labor, or specialty services.

  • Maintaining proper fluid levels
  • Following manufacturer maintenance schedules
  • Reporting drivability concerns promptly
  • Avoiding continued operation when transmission problems are present
